The Pearson Ford Open is a premier professional tennis tournament with a rich and long history in Indianapolis.

Woodstock Club is proud to be the host of the Pearson Ford Open for the 8th consecutive year. The Pearson Ford Open provides professional players an opportunity to earn prize money and top ranked college players an opportunity to play professionals in a very competitive setting. This grand annual tennis tournament gives players the opportunity to hone their skills and perhaps be on the big stage someday.

Matches will be scheduled from Thursday, June 15th through Sunday, June 18th, 2017.
Media Challenge is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14th, 2017.

Woodstock has a long history of tennis events, including the Western Tennis Championships and the USLTA Clay Court Championships. The Woodstock Club courts are some of the finest clay courts in the Midwest. Woodstock Club is known as the premiere clay court tennis venue in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Past tennis greats that have played in previous professional tennis tournaments hosted at Woodstock include Arthur Ashe, Bjorn Borg, Stan Smith, Bill Tilden, Bobby Riggs, Pancho Gonzales and Jimmy Connors, states Tournament Chairman, Mark Rutherford.

Players, guests and sponsors have an opportunity to interact and mingle on the grounds of Woodstock Club, as Pearson Ford Tennis Open supporters (including sponsors, patrons, players and Woodstock host families) are invited to an upscale courtside cocktail party one evening during the event.


The Location: Tucked away in a classic area of Indianapolis, is an elegant private club on the banks of the White River. Woodstock Club has a national reputation as a premier tennis venue. From the 1920s through the 1970s, its clay courts were the biennial home to the Western Open. The Pearson Ford Open is one of the premier tournaments in the country.
